What to expect for Boruto : Naruto the Next Generation

Boruto: Naruto the Next Generation is a perfect sequel to Naruto, one of the world’s most recognizable animes today. Boruto takes place several years after the events that occurred in the Naruto series. Naruto is the seventh Hokage and the Leaf Village has under gone dramatic modernization. Yet, despite this growth there are still several threats that exist that keep Naruto (Lord Hokage) busy. As a result, we see how this affects his son Boruto as he is determining his Ninja way in life.

Summary:

Boruto: Naruto the Next Generation is told as a flashback; Boruto is fighting Kawaki as the leaf village is destroyed. This fight causes him to reflect on what has influenced him to continue the traditions of being a Shinobi. There are many factors that influence Boruto starting with Naruto’s lack of attention to him. This causes him to hate his father; not realizing that his father is willing to and does sacrifice himself to save his son. Upon realizing this Boruto begins to change as he organizes a rescue mission to save his dad. We continue to witness Boruto develop his ninja way as he is placed in a team with Sarada and Mitsuki who each have their own struggles to face. As a team they teach each other various skills as they attempt to understand, support, and overcome their obstacles both physically and mentally. All of this is taking place under the guidance of Konohamaru while on missions and training sessions. The interaction between teammates, guidance from Konohamaru, and real life mission experience help Boruto to continue to carry on the legacy of Shinobi as he faces Kawaki.

What to expect:

Boruto: Naruto the Next Generation has established a set of expectations that will occur. In particular, we see how Boruto’s ninja way will be developed due to Naruto’s involvement with his son’s life. One of the first things Boruto reflects on is how his father was selfless to allow himself to be kidnapped to save his son. Furthermore, as the series progress the interactions between Boruto teammates Sarada and Mitsuki help him realize what his Ninja way should be. With Sarada, Boruto understands her as she struggles to accept why her father is never around. As Boruto and Sarada talk they begin to get closer to one another and they develop a crush on each other, as they cope with their dads being busy. As this relationship develops it is reasonable that Boruto will adopt some of Sarada’s visions that will influence his actions. On the other side, Boruto and Mitsuki’s relationship is different, as Mitsuki is an artificial human created by Orochimaru, who is still alive and has chosen to follow his own path. Mitsuki views himself as the moon and Boruto as the Sun and the two compliment each other in personality and in skills. As a result, what Boruto excels at Mitsuki fails at. This provides a different element of helping to develop Boruto’s Ninja way as it makes it clear what his strengths are and which path will be the best for him to follow. Both Boruto’s father and teammates have played a major influence in helping him develop his Ninja way as he is reflecting upon them before he faces what is considered to be a final battle against Kawaki.
