Welcome to the police force, the space police force. Every season of anime there is always some show that focuses on police activity, either a special unit or a special team. This season the anime is ?lDLIVE, which focuses on space police attempting to keep the universe safe from evil aliens. All while a middle school boy named Ch?ta is recruited to join the force.
Background:
There is a space police force called ?lDLIVE, which is tasked with stopping dangerous aliens all across the universe. On earth there is a middle school boy, named Ch?ta, who has been a social outcast because he is constantly communicating with a mysterious voice everyday One day he is abducted by the space police force, ?lDLIVE, as they want to recruit him to become an officer. Yet he has to pass a test to do so, which is to track down and arrest a dangerous alien. While confronting this alien, it is revealed that the mysterious voice he has been speaking to is an alien creature that has fused with his body and has granted him powers. These powers allow him to imagine something to happen and his alien fusion creature, Dolugh, executes what he imagines, to defeat the alien. This allows him to join the space police force. All throughout the anime we witness Ch?ta developing a bond with Dolugh as they share the same body. As their bond grows so does their ability to take down alien threats. With each take down we see Ch?ta, become more confident with his classmates and his coworkers as he is gaining their trust one by one including the girl he has a crush on.
What to expect:
The anime from the very start makes it clear that Ch?ta will be gaining maturity throughout this series. As we see him struggling to make friends due to him appearing to talk to himself. Furthermore, we also see Ch?ta has to prove why he was chosen to be a member of ?lDLIVE to his coworkers. This in many ways is foreshadowing that he is not only going to show them why he belongs helping them take down alien threats but gain their respect too. It has also been foreshadowed that Ch?ta will have some relationship with the girl he has a crush on, Sonokata, as they will be working together on missions. In that time they will gain mutual respect for one another and possibly develop feelings as their mission becomes more complicated. While all these relationships are being developed Ch?ta will also develop his relationship with an alien creature, Dolugh that is living within him as both their lives depend on that. In particular, this relationship will develop over time and will result in new abilities that each possess as the relationship becomes stronger. It is safe to say that what you see within the first few episodes of this anime is how the rest of the series will progress, as there will be no major plot twists or surprises that will occur in this show.
